OBITUARY

Roger H. Smith, Sr., age 73 of Millsboro, PA died Friday, November 12, 2004 in Washington Hospital, Washington, PA.
He was born May 21, 1931 in Fredericktown, PA a son of Mable Smith Price.
Mr. Smith returned to High School after serving Honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War and received his diploma in 1956. 
He was protestant by faith. He was a retired coal miner and volunteered for the State Fishing and Game Commission.
He was a member of the Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391 of Fredericktown, PA, Miners Club of Richeyville, PA and the United Mine Works of America.
Mr. Smith was a great fisherman and hunter and referred to as the "Mon King" for his fishing abilities.
Surviving are three sons - George Smith and his wife Darlene of Republic, PA, Roger H. Smith, Jr. of Millsboro, PA, and John Smith and his wife Donna of Fredericktown, PA; three daughters - Cheryl Smith and her companion Rob Lowry of Uniontown, PA, Brenda Roberts and her husband Dean of Dilliner, PA and Bonnie Means and her husband Lee of Adah, PA; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters Ruth Jay of Fredericktown, PA and Mary Beth of Michigan; one brother John Crowe of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews including Donna and Brian Dugan and Shirley Winters who he helped raise.
Deceased in addition to his mother is his wife Josephine L. Smith who died October 1, 1992.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank St. at Crawford Rd., Fredericktown, PA where services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor John Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, PA. Military rites will be accorded by Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391.
